Quiet Confidence

"We play, to be apart of something much bigger than ourselves. We join together, we believe in one another, and we push each other to achieve a level of greatness that can only be reached when we all work as one."

This video is something that Jae Leeworthy, a former teammate of mine at Lake Erie came across last spring. He was kind enough to pass it along to the rest of the team. And every time I watch it, I still get chills. A testament to a top notch program (and a top notch video editing team), but also it contains a message something that every athlete can relate to. The meaning of the word "Team" and why Hard Work is so vital. It also goes to show just what kind of emotion and feelings the game of college baseball can evoke.

When I originally watched this video (while I was still playing) I felt that it really encompassed why I loved to play the game of baseball. But now when I watch it, it absolutely solidifies my choice in pursuing this career (in coaching). It honestly sums up this new passion of mine, because I've fallen in love with this game all over again.

Please take a look at this, if you haven't already. And if you have, you know you want to watch it again!

"So the next time you are out early one morning, and you happen to catch a glimpse of an athlete hitting the wall and pushing through; take pause, look closer, and feel fortunate for what you are witnessing."
